Molly and Ben originally from the east coast, but now residing in San Franciso chose to hold their wedding celebration at her parents gorgeous home on the shores of Tupper Lake, NY. A stunningly lovely home and property and a photographer’s dream location! Molly and Ben are two of most pleasent and unassuming people you’d care to meet and even though I see them in person prior to the wedding day I felt completely comfortable with both from the moment I introduced myself. Ben charmed me with his easy going and affable, and Molly simply oozed class and integrity. I was very impressed with her high level social consciousness… I had learned during the wedding day that just a month prior, while in the middle of finalizing their wedding plans she had traveled to Africa (I forget which country) to donate her time and skills as a surgeon to aid the impoverished in need of serious medical aid. Wow, just wow! OK, I got side-tracked, back to the wedding… The day started out with me covering Molly, her mom and sisters getting ready which later included her closest friends as they arrived. I only paid a short visit to Ben and his brother as my planned focus was to be on Molly and her ladies for getting ready. After they were dressed we shot the first look at a pedestrian bridge which led to the boat house. We then took time for some pre-ceremony couple formals in a nearby wooded area and also with them aboard a beautiful wooden antique boat. Afterwards we headed back up to her parents house for family and wedding party/friends formals. By that time guests were beginning to arrive for the champagne welcome. That was my queue to make my way down to the gorgeously decorated reception tent and photograph the exquisite table settings and decorative adornments prior just to the ceremony. The ceremony was at a picturesque spot right on the shores of the lake, and included much laughter, tears and everything between. From there the party began, starting with cocktail hour, the first dance, parent dances and the hora, followed by a wonderful multi-course sit-down dinner. After dinner they and their guest where treated to exceptional live music by Silver Arrow Band with much dancing and celebratory fun. My coverage concluded around 10:30pm after setting up the final bride & groom night portrait of them kicking back in two Adirondack chairs while holding hands and looking out at the star adorned sky.
